Standard Features
The main spindle housing and base are constructed of fine grain cast iron, and feature hardened and ground box type ways. The base is furnished with two accurately jig bored dowel holes as standard, or optional keyway and one dowel, or cross-keyed. The mounting face of the unit is drilled and back spot faced for V2 socket head screws(6) and .5000 diameter dowels (2) for mounting multiple spindle heads.
The spindle is provided with a double-row bearing in the front and a heavy duty sealed bearing in the rear, it has a baker type key slot, which will accommodate convertible type spindle noses for 1-1/16, 1-3/8, or 1-7/8 adapter sizes. The unit can be mounted in a 90-degree plane from horizontal to vertical (angular mounting over 15 degrees to a vertical mounting requires counter-weighting). The units are predrilled and tapped to accommodate auto-lubrication (unit requires some type of lubrication). Also included are the following standard features: self-contained, long working stroke, built in positive stop, tool change mechanism, motor mounting brackets, sheaves, timing belts and enclosed belt guard.
