Operating in the machine tool market for 35 years, MAG South America, marked its presence at the 2008 Mecânica Trade Show. Mecânica is the most significant trade show in the South American machine-tool market.
The high performance characteristics of MAG products are responsible for the company’s growth and brand awarness. Part of MAG South America’s machine range was shown at the booth. Among them were the Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers: MAG Fadal and MAG Huller Hille.
The lay-out and design of the 200sqm booth resulted in many compliments; it was considered one of the most attractive booths of the show by the renowned magazine, Exhibitions and Events.
MAG’s visibility exceeded expectation with over 3.000 people visiting the booth during the event and also a very important presence by the Minister of Development-Industry and Foreign Trade, Mr. Miguel Jorge. The company received full support from the Minister when he noticed the ad displayed on one of the machines informing of the program extension for funding by Finame modality for 10 years (funding available by the government for new machines purchase).
Roberto M. Schaefer, President of MAG’s South America underscored that the show audience was composed of professionals truly interested in the exhibited products. "Trade shows are a major channel of communication and promotion. We present our machinery and we had the oppotunity to establish new partnerships and immediate sales oportunities” he says.
Vertical Machining Centers: Higher capacity for loads on the table (from 910kg on 990x400mm tables to 1900kg on 1900x890mm tables) cooling of ball screws to prevent machine thermal distortion, offering enhanced machining accuracy, even under changes in ambient temperature.
Horizontal Machining Centers: Direct measurement system embedded into linear guides. Less prone to damage and maintenance free. Optional Geared Spindle for high torque applications, plus high capacity chip removal, faster machining time, saving of cutting tools and optimized production. Machines electrically powered at 380 to 440v without use of transformer. PLUS line with extended axis travels and work zone capacity. Choice between SIEMENS or FANUC control systems.
Many products of MAG Industrial Automation Systems are already produced locally at MAG South America’s plant in Diadema- SP . The company has plans to transfer other machines that are part group’s portfolio to be produced here. With the equipment and machinery manufactured locally, the customer is able to get advantages in price, after sales support and the funding possibility by Finame since our machine has a local content exceeding 65%.
