Advantages
Agile Systems
Agile Machining Systems feature multi part flexibility and availability. The individual machining sequences are performed by SPECHT CNC machines. Adapter plates allow more flexibility with part clamping and transport and the machines are designed for multiple programmes, thus a variety of parts can be machined with various tools. In a parallel manufacturing process, similar operations are simultaneously performed by several machines. Manufacturing units with identical work content are integrated into one manufacturing cell. The cells can easily be expanded by additional machines. Parts are primarily conveyed by gantries. If one machine shuts down the other machines in the cell continue the operation, e.g. if a machine with a cell of 4 machines shuts down, the output reduces by only 25 %.
Agile itself is characterized by parallel processes, that is, several pieces of machinery within the system perform the same processing content in parallel and are combined into a manufacturing cell. The base machine for the equipment is a high speed, powerful unit from the SPECHT® family of products, designed for high cutting performance. Each cell is optimized to perform one particular task. Several cells linked in series completely process the pieces.
Hybrid Systems
Hybrid systems (literally: mixed systems with two origins) are comprised of flexible and rigid processing tools. In order to achieve an optimum price/performance ratio, manufacturing systems with limited flexibility are formed from both processing centers (highly flexible) as well as transfer lines (highly productive) or specialized machinery.
