Drillunit has been manufacturing hydraulic quill units for more than three decades. We offer a wide range of functionality that has been refined and simplified over this time.
Standard Models
The quill type is a self-contained hydraulic feed unit, and is available in four standard models, two high-speed and two heavy-duty. The high speed Drillunit models 125 and 225 are particularly adaptable to high speed applications since they are equipped with precision spindle bearings and dynamically balanced spindle and sheave assembly. The heavy duty Drillunit models 150 and 250 are designed for more general machining applications, and are equipped with a heavy duty double-row spindle bearing construction.
We also offer two self-contained hydraulic units: Model 300 and Model 500.
Model 300
The model 300 is a crank shaft drilling specialist. It has peck feed, a rack out inner quill, and 12 inches of stroke.
Model 500
The model 500 is a way type unit. It has an eight inch way width, large thrust capacity, choice of 3-1/4", 2-1/2", or 2" diameter bore thrust cylinder, and a stroke range of 12, 18, 24, 30 or 36 inches. Cylinder size is dependent upon thrust capacity and cycle time required.
Dovetail Unit
The dovetail unit heavy duty models 125 x 6, 9 or 150 x 6, 9 or 225 x 12 or 250 x 12 utilize the standard self-contained quill type units as a power source but are supported by a dovetail slide for rigidity. They are featured with a single-spindle housing or a flat platen for mounting a multiple spindle head. Also available are assorted accessories to compliment the above units such as machine bases, Drillunit risers, standard vertical type machines and tool setting gages.
