    Advantages

    Pick-up Turning Machines by MAG
As powerful motorized spindles became available in the early 90s, MAG, a traditional builder of vertical turning machines, recognized their potential and developed – as one of the first machine tool manufacturers in the world – an inverted spindle vertical turning machine – the launch of the DVH series. Since their successful introduction to the market in 1991 the DVH range of vertical turning machines has been continuously improved and perfected. MAG today offers an extensive range of invertedspindle vertical turning machines to satisfy a wide variety of different requirements.

    Automation

    Flexible handling systems
Our relationship with you as our customers starts with your workpiece. We look at your machining challenges, your quality and your output requirements. Based upon these individual details we develop a process, which centers around your wokpiece. The result of this process development is your custom-engineered vertical turning machine. The DVH family of machines lends itself very favourable to the composition of automated turning cells and lines. Whether your are looking for multiple machine operation, production through break-times or during personnel reduced shifts, a comprehensive range of job-adapted peripheral equipment is available to match your needs. This includes equipment for part identification, loading, gauging and surveillance.

    Applications

    Options

    Driven Tools
Turning, drilling, milling and tapping in only one chucking offers the best machining quality. There is no setup required between operations and the number of fixtures required is reduced.

    Disk type turret

    • Rigid construction
    • Short indexing times
    • 12 tools stations
    • Use of driven tools

    Turn-grinding
Both braking surfaces are ground simultaneously, workpiece and grinding wheel rotating.

    Turn-Grinding

    Turn-milling
Milling unit on DVH, with milling cutters rotating in opposite directions, machining braking surfaces of a rotor.

    Turn-milling

    Part Gauging
For part gauging within the machine the motorized spindle, with the part, contacts a measuring probe. Gauging outside of the machine has theadvantage that measuring can take place within the machining time, thusincreasing productivity.

    Tool gauging

By using software developed by MAG Hessapp the operator is able to gaugenew tools with extreme precision and to correct them in the tool magazine.
